1Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to operate the Service:

a. Account information. When you sign in, we receive basic account details from your sign-in provider — such as your name and email address — and generate an account identifier. We use these to create and secure your account and to keep your data separate from other users’.

b. Phone number (calls only). If you call the HeyToury phone number, we receive your phone number via standard caller ID in order to handle the call. We do not send marketing calls or text messages.

c. Device identifier. A random identifier generated by the App on installation. It is not your advertising ID, IMEI, or any identifier usable to track you across other apps or services.

d. Location data. With your explicit permission and only while you have turned the location beacon on, the App collects your device’s precise GPS position, speed, and compass heading so the assistant can answer questions about your surroundings. Collection stops when you turn the beacon off, and you may revoke the App’s location permission at any time in your device settings. Location data is automatically deleted on a rolling 24-hour basis.

e. Voice and audio. During a voice conversation — in the App or by phone — your microphone audio is streamed to the assistant so it can understand and respond to you, and a text transcript of the conversation is created.

f. Camera and video. If you start a live video session, images from your camera are streamed to the assistant so it can answer questions about what you are looking at. Video is processed to generate responses in real time; frames are not retained after the session beyond what is needed to produce those responses.

g. Text conversation content. The messages you type to the assistant in the App.

h. Assistant memory. Transcripts and short summaries of your conversations, and the notes you explicitly ask the assistant to remember about you (the “What HeyToury knows” notes), are retained so the assistant remembers context between sessions. You can view, edit, and delete these notes in the App at any time.

i. Technical and usage data. Timestamps, delivery status, and server logs used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.

j. Early access signup. If you submit the early access form on our website, we collect the name, email address, and mobile platform (iOS or Android) you enter, together with the time of submission. We use these only to send you an invitation when the App is ready for you. Submissions are stored in a private spreadsheet in our Google Workspace account, are not linked to any App account, and are not used for marketing beyond that invitation. You can ask us to delete your entry at any time by emailing admin@heytoury.com.

We do not collect your contacts, your photo library, your browsing history, advertising identifiers, or payment information. The Service does not use cookies or advertising trackers, and we do not use your information for advertising.

2How We Use Information

We use the information above solely to: (a) create and secure your account and keep your data separate from other users’; (b) generate responses to what you say, type, or show the assistant, including location-aware responses while your beacon is on; (c) maintain conversational continuity and your assistant memory; (d) protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; (e) diagnose and fix technical problems; (f) comply with legal obligations; and (g) send you an early access invitation, if you asked for one.

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Service.

3How Information Is Shared

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

a. Service providers (subprocessors). We use third-party infrastructure to operate the Service: cloud and database hosting; artificial-intelligence model providers that process your audio, text, camera images, and location context to generate the assistant’s responses; mapping and geolocation data providers used to answer questions about places around you; for phone calls, a telephony carrier; and, for early access signups submitted on our website, Google Workspace, where those entries are stored. These providers process data only on our behalf and instructions, solely to deliver Service functionality, and are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing.

b. Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or the Service.

c. Business transfer. If the Service is acquired or merged, information may transfer to the successor, which will remain bound by this policy or one materially as protective.

We never sell personal information. We have not sold personal information and have no plans to do so.

4AI Processing Disclosure

HeyToury’s responses are generated by third-party artificial-intelligence models. Your voice audio, typed messages, camera images (during a video session), and — while the beacon is on — location context are transmitted to those providers to generate responses. Per those providers’ API terms, this data is not used to train their models. Please do not share sensitive personal information (health details, financial account numbers, government identifiers, passwords, etc.) in conversations with the Service.

We protect your information with, among other measures: encryption in transit (TLS) for all connections; per-user database access controls enforced at the database layer (row-level security); and server-side-only storage of all credentials. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7Your Rights and Choices

You may at any time: turn off the location beacon, or revoke the App’s location, microphone, or camera permissions in your device settings; view, edit, or clear your assistant memory (“What HeyToury knows”) in the App; and request access to or complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below. We will honor verified deletion requests within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional statutory rights, including the right to know what personal information we hold, the right to deletion, the right to correct, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We honor such requests regardless of jurisdiction. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.

8Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9Do Not Track

The Service does not track users across third-party websites or services and therefore does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

10Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
